|| End of Year Survey for 2009 ||
1. What did you do in 2009 that you'd never done before?
Bought a condo, played “Rock band”, bought a round of drinks for a cat named Sam.
2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I had cut back on the amount of caffeine for the first few months, but I was miserable. I’m pretty much back to the same amount I was imbibing two years ago. My application to Grad School never occurred. It was a change in priorities because I wasn’t sure exactly where I was going to be living. Now that I know, I’ll probably try this year.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Well… My second cousin’s girlfriend.
Since family members of friends don’t really count, I think that’s all.
4. Did anyone close to you die?
Nope. M.J. and I really weren’t that close.
5. What countries did you visit?
Again, priorities changed. Didn’t visit any countries. I did visit Maryland and Connecticut this year.
6. What would you like to have in 2010 that you lacked in 2009?
While typing this, I have a head cold and the only thing I can think of is not suitable. I’ll come back to it later… Maybe.
7. What date from 2009 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
Let’s just say it wasn’t a good day for me personally… Or, really, even, the best year.

Is buying a condo an achievement? I guess so.
9. What was your biggest failure?
Not smiling when I should have. Spending too much money on cardboard crack (AKA Magic cards).
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Food poisoning from Shaws hotdogs, the usual migraines… and a head cold that’s followed me into 2010.
11. What was the best thing you bought?
Other than the condo? A fridge and a 47 inch TV.
12. Whose behavior merited celebration?

I went into the office early and worked all day. When I tried to leave at the intended time, I got asked to stay late to take care of something… Which wasn’t resolved for an additional hour beyond my usual time. Not a big deal since my plans for the night got cancelled. I turned 30. (I should note that this was all well and good. I had a birthday bash with everyone together the following week and there was much food, friends and awesomeness).
